{"id":77340,"date":"2019-08-31T02:54:29","date_gmt":"2019-08-30T21:24:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=77340"},"modified":"2019-08-31T02:54:29","modified_gmt":"2019-08-30T21:24:29","slug":"ddma-conducts-mock-drills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/08\/31\/ddma-conducts-mock-drills\/","title":{"rendered":"DDMA conducts mock drills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Aug 30:<\/strong> The Tirap district disaster management authority (DDMA) in collaboration with the district administration on Friday organized a disaster awareness programme and earthquake-, fire accident- and rescue-related mock drills at the general hospital and the PWD divisional office here.<br \/>\nThe DDMA team, led by DDMO P Duggong, demonstrated disaster-related techniques, such as rescuing trapped people from damaged buildings, fire extinguishing, and first-aid, and provided fire and earthquake safety tips to the participants at both the venues.<br \/>\nPersonnel of the police and the fire service department assisted the DDMA team in conducting the demonstration.<br \/>\nDuggong said such drills would be conducted at all major government establishments of the district, including schools.<br \/>\nDMO Dr K Mosang and Hospital Superintendent Dr K Socia also participated in the programme. PWD AE T Maji and Tirap SP K Riba also spoke.
