Yanga passed away on this day in 2015.<br \/>\nRecalling his long association with Yanga, Capital SP Tumme Amo said &#8220;she has left a rich legacy, and the present chairperson, Ratan Anya, is breathless in maintaining the tempo.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe SP, who joined the programme along with SDPO R Kamsi and Naharlgun PS OC, Inspector D Dulom, reminded the gathering that &#8220;the OWA&#8217;s main motto is service to humanity.&#8221;<br \/>\nAmo also administered a &#8220;10-point oath&#8221; to the gathering, with regard to maintaining law and order. Those present also signed a document containing the oath.<br \/>\nAnya on her part urged everyone to assist the police in maintaining peace. She also lauded the Arunachal Photographic Club members, led by its president Bengia Mrinal, for conducting a photography exhibition and explaining to over 100 students the relevance of photography.<br \/>\nSenior journalist Pradeep Kumar, a member of the OWA team, recited a poem.<br \/>\nTwenty-two inmates of the OWA took part in a drawing competition organised by the Arunachal chapter of the Indian Council for Child Welfare as a tribute to Yanga.<br \/>\nThe day was also observed at the Oju Mission Schools in Papu Nallah here and in Wessang in East Kameng district with activities including drawing, debate and extempore speech competitions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NAHARLAGUN, Sep 3: The 4th death anniversary of the Oju Welfare Association&#8217;s (OWA) founder, Binny Yanga, was observed in the OWA&#8217;s premises here on Tuesday.
