{"id":7791,"date":"2017-11-06T01:13:12","date_gmt":"2017-11-05T19:43:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=7791"},"modified":"2017-11-06T01:13:12","modified_gmt":"2017-11-05T19:43:12","slug":"increase-in-tourist-inflow-says-cm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2017\/11\/06\/increase-in-tourist-inflow-says-cm\/","title":{"rendered":"Increase in tourist inflow, says CM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>State gets Indigenous Tribal Research &amp; Studies Centre<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>ITANAGAR, Nov 5:<\/strong> Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that Arunachal is becoming a hot tourist destination for its rich cultural heritage and that the state has registered 10 per cent increase each year in number of tourist inflow.<br \/>\nThe CM said this after inaugurating the Indigenous Tribal Research &amp; Studies Centre (ITR&amp;SC) in presence of UD Minister Nabam Rebia and other dignitaries at Nyedar Namlo, Doimukh on Sunday.<br \/>\nSaying that the foreign tourists come to Arunachal to see the indigenous culture, the CM appealed for its preservation. Pema also expressed hope that the Centre will prove helpful in documenting and preservation of indigenous culture.<br \/>\nThe CM assured Rs 1 crore for finishing works for the centre. He also assured a corpus fund for the institute and asked the Nyishi Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society (NIFCS), organisers of the event, to submit an estimate.<br \/>\nThe CM also donated Rs 10 lakhs for the institute through his personal means.<br \/>\nEarlier, Pema inspected the newly constructed building of the ITR&amp;SC and offered prayer to the indigenous deities inside the prayer centre.<br \/>\nOn creation of Department of Indigenous Affairs (DIA), Pema said he has asked the Chief Secretary for its immediate functioning. He said it will be an independent department with creation of Secretary and Director posts.<br \/>\nThe UD Minister in his speech fervently appealed to the indigenous people of the state to be strongly rooted in their culture.<br \/>\nPresident NIFCS Pai Dawe also spoke on the occasion.<br \/>\nCNN President Nabam Atum, former legislators Atum Welly, Lokam Tasar, Papum Pare DC, Tai Kaye, SP Tumme Amo and other officials attended the function.
