{"id":77924,"date":"2019-09-05T02:07:48","date_gmt":"2019-09-04T20:37:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=77924"},"modified":"2019-09-05T02:07:48","modified_gmt":"2019-09-04T20:37:48","slug":"tobacco-products-seized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/09\/05\/tobacco-products-seized\/","title":{"rendered":"Tobacco products seized"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ZIRO, Sep 4:<\/strong> The flying squads conducted raids in 30 shops located within the vicinity of various educational institutions across Ziro-Hapoli Township in Lower Subansiri district on Wednesday and seized a sizable amount of tobacco products under various sections of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003.<br \/>\nA fine of Rs 6000 has been realised as per Section 6 of the COTP Act from the shop owners selling cigarettes and other tobacco products.<br \/>\nThe team also interacted with students of Dani Kunia Government Higher Secondary School and advised them against the use of tobacco products within or outside the school complex.<br \/>\nThe team was led by EAC Bamin Tarang, along with DPO, NCD (NTCP) Dr Subu Habung, Assistant Commissioner (Tax &amp; Excise) Punyo Yaje, District Consultant Tamchi Yabii and police personnel, led by OC Phassang Simi.
