{"id":79340,"date":"2019-09-20T00:48:40","date_gmt":"2019-09-19T19:18:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=79340"},"modified":"2019-09-20T00:48:40","modified_gmt":"2019-09-19T19:18:40","slug":"trg-on-epc-contract-mode-underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/09\/20\/trg-on-epc-contract-mode-underway\/","title":{"rendered":"Trg on EPC contract mode underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>ITANAGAR, Sep 19:<\/strong> More than 150 officials from the state PWD (highway), the BRO and the NHIDCL are participating in a three-day training programme on &#8216;Engineering procurement and construction (EPC) mode of contracts&#8217;, which began at the state banquet hall here on Wednesday.<br \/>\nThe programme is being conducted by the Indian Academy of Highway Engineers (IAHE) in collaboration with the MoRTH regional office and the PWD&#8217;s highway zone.<br \/>\nOn the inaugural day, IAHE Director D Sarangi presented a brief on model contract documents, along with schedules and articles of EPC contracts for highways, in the presence of PWD Commissioner Belatee Pertin.<br \/>\nOn Thursday, former MoRTH director VL Patankar spoke on preparation of bid documents, including the schedules of EPC contract agreement.<br \/>\nThe programme is aimed at facilitating the participating officials in adopting the EPC mode.<br \/>\n&#8220;It will minimize, if not eliminate, the time and cost overruns characteristic of the extant item rate contracts.
