{"id":80106,"date":"2019-09-29T02:31:26","date_gmt":"2019-09-28T21:01:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=80106"},"modified":"2019-09-29T02:31:26","modified_gmt":"2019-09-28T21:01:26","slug":"training-prog-for-teachers-conducted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/09\/29\/training-prog-for-teachers-conducted\/","title":{"rendered":"Training prog for teachers conducted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Sep 28:<\/strong> Seventy-four teachers from various private schools in the capital complex and Doimukh attended an &#8216;effectiveness training&#8217; programme organised by the All Arunachal Private Schools&#8217; Association (AAPSA) here on Saturday.<br \/>\nThe programme, which was held in collaboration with the Don Bosco Youth Centre, had as the resource person Fr Thomas Vattathara, a Harvard graduate in human resource development and a renowned educationalist.<br \/>\nAddressing the function, AAPSA vice president Fr Joshua Gangmei called upon the teachers to be &#8220;learning teachers&#8221; who are willing to change and improve their skills.<br \/>\nThe training, featuring input sessions with motivational content and group activities, focused on the changing educational scenario and the responsibility of teachers to bring out the creativity of students through innovation in education.<br \/>\nSpeaking about the necessity to leave one&#8217;s comfort zone, Fr Vattathara said, &#8220;Be willing to change, as change is the only constant,&#8221; and advised the AAPSA teachers to &#8220;set benchmarks in education through child-centric approach and innovative teaching which develops the intellect and the person of the student.&#8221;<br \/>\nPresenting statistics and research findings, he also exhorted the teachers to &#8220;create, and not all the time react.&#8221;<br \/>\nBudhadeb Tamang of the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School also spoke.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Sep 28: Seventy-four teachers from various private schools in the capital complex and Doimukh attended an &#8216;effectiveness training&#8217; programme organised by the All Arunachal Private Schools&#8217; Association (AAPSA) here on Saturday.
