{"id":84118,"date":"2019-11-07T02:19:24","date_gmt":"2019-11-06T20:49:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=84118"},"modified":"2019-11-07T02:19:24","modified_gmt":"2019-11-06T20:49:24","slug":"org-seeks-early-remedy-for-pending-welfare-initiatives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/11\/07\/org-seeks-early-remedy-for-pending-welfare-initiatives\/","title":{"rendered":"Org seeks early remedy for pending welfare initiatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Staff Reporter<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>ITANAGAR, Nov 6:<\/strong> The All Arunachal Pradesh Divyangjan Welfare Society on Wednesday appealed to the state government to pursue various pending welfare initiatives for the disabled.<br \/>\nAddressing a press conference at the Arunachal Press Club here, the society&#8217;s chairman, Damin Kayu informed that &#8220;Rs 20 crore has already been sanctioned by the ministry concerned for establishment of a composite regional centre for differently-able persons but its execution is still pending.&#8221;<br \/>\nKayu appealed for immediately initiating the construction work of the centre at Nirjuli, for which the land with valid documents has already been identified and earmarked, he said.<br \/>\nThe society has also appealed for establishment of a vocational and industrial skill development training centre at Nirjuli. Kayu informed<br \/>\nthat provision for the training centre is already provided under section 19 of the Rights of Persons with Disability Act, 2016.<br \/>\nTo oversee such initiatives, the state&#8217;s differently-able peoples&#8217; society has further appealed for immediate creation and posting of a separate state commissioner for differently-able persons.<br \/>\nThe society&#8217;s chairman further appealed for establishment of an office building for the state&#8217;s divyangjan welfare society, regrouping of state&#8217;s entire differently-able persons&#8217; population of about four lakhs under one umbrella, and construction of ramps for divyangjans in every government establishment across the Capital Complex at the earliest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Staff Reporter ITANAGAR, Nov 6: The All Arunachal Pradesh Divyangjan Welfare Society on Wednesday appealed to the state government to pursue various pending welfare initiatives for the disabled.
