{"id":84615,"date":"2019-11-12T01:37:58","date_gmt":"2019-11-11T20:07:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=84615"},"modified":"2019-11-12T01:37:58","modified_gmt":"2019-11-11T20:07:58","slug":"anglers-seek-to-conserve-aquatic-species","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/11\/12\/anglers-seek-to-conserve-aquatic-species\/","title":{"rendered":"Anglers seek to conserve aquatic species"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>ITANAGAR, Nov 11:<\/strong> With the aim of saving the aquatic species and the riverine system of the Pare river, a team of the Arunachal Anglers&#8217; Forum (AAF), led by its chairman Bengia Tayu, last Saturday interacted with the GBs, youth organizations and the public of Rach village, near Sagalee, in Papum Pare district.<br \/>\nThe daylong programme involved discussions on conservation and<br \/>\nhow it can boost the local economy by promoting angling as a sport.<br \/>\nTayu urged the youths to put a blanket ban on illegal fishing using explosives, gill netting, bleaching, inverter, etc, and advised them to practice the traditional fishing system.<br \/>\nStating that Arunachal is fast becoming &#8220;the hottest angling tourism destination in the country,&#8221; AAF vice-chairman Tope Karga urged the youths to reap the benefits by conserving fish.<br \/>\nRach Tabio Youth Welfare Association leaders Tadar Gaga, Tadar Kaku, Seva Nabam and others assured to work in close coordination with the AAF members in its fish conservation activities.<br \/>\nGB Nabam Sangio also assured to extend full support to the initiative.
