{"id":85918,"date":"2019-11-26T01:38:43","date_gmt":"2019-11-25T20:08:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=85918"},"modified":"2019-11-26T01:41:08","modified_gmt":"2019-11-25T20:11:08","slug":"cs-reviews-preparedness-for-imi-2-0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/11\/26\/cs-reviews-preparedness-for-imi-2-0\/","title":{"rendered":"CS reviews preparedness for IMI 2.0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Nov 25:<\/strong> Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar reviewed the preparedness for the Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 2.0 during a meeting of the state steering committee for immunization here on Monday.<br \/>\nIMI 2.0, which is scheduled to be rolled out on 2 December, aims to achieve the target of &#8220;90 percent full immunization coverage&#8221; of children between 0 and 2 years of age, and pregnant women.<br \/>\nHowever, the CS asked the health &amp; family welfare (HFW) department to &#8220;devise the entire immunization mechanism of the state so that the state is able to achieve 97 percent immunization.&#8221;<br \/>\nKumar also urged other departments to coordinate with the HFW department in areas where their assistance is required.<br \/>\nTo address local issues which remain a challenge in many parts of the state, the chief secretary stressed on using &#8220;robust communication strategies like FM radio channels, community radios, and mobile SMSes to spread the message of IMI 2.0 to the masses,&#8221; and suggested using local dialects in the messages.<br \/>\nKumar also suggested that &#8220;reward in the form of cash or kind may be awarded to the best performing ANM with 100 percent IMI 2.0 coverage.&#8221;<br \/>\nIMI 2.0 will continue upto 2 March, 2020, in four rounds, in 18 identified districts of the state.<br \/>\nHFW Principal Secretary AC Verma, WCD Secretary Niharika Rai, IPR Secretary Himanshu Gupta, and others were present at the meeting.
