{"id":90914,"date":"2020-01-20T01:05:39","date_gmt":"2020-01-19T19:35:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=90914"},"modified":"2020-01-20T01:06:07","modified_gmt":"2020-01-19T19:36:07","slug":"papum-poma-river-festival-from-23-jan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2020\/01\/20\/papum-poma-river-festival-from-23-jan\/","title":{"rendered":"Papum Poma River Festival from 23 Jan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Jan 19:<\/strong> The second edition of the Papum Poma River Festival (PPRF) will be held from 23 to 25 January beside the Papum (Boroi) river in Ramghat, in Papum Pare district.<br \/>\nThemed &#8216;Save nature, save our future&#8217;, the festival is aimed at &#8220;preserving, conserving, promoting and showcasing the eco-potentials of the area for sustainable source of income generation,&#8221; the organisers informed.<br \/>\nAddressing media persons at the press club here on Sunday, organising chairman John Panye said the festival is organised by three administrative circles &#8211; Balijan, Taraso and Sangdupota.<br \/>\nThe festival is supported by the tourism department, the district administration, and Doimukh MLA Tana Hali, he said.<br \/>\nUnion MoS (Independent) for Sports &amp; Youth Affairs Kiren Rijiju, along with Assam&#8217;s Handloom Minister Ranjit Dutta are expected to attend the inaugural function.<br \/>\nPanye said the ecotourism festival would &#8220;cater and treat the visitors with lifetime experiences through adventure activities like water rafting, angling, kayaking, zip-lining, rappelling, hot air balloon, hiking, camping, traditional sports, beach volleyball, live performances by local artists, and display of local cuisines of both Arunachal and Assam.&#8221;<br \/>\nTents will be made available for the visitors&#8217; stay, he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Jan 19: The second edition of the Papum Poma River Festival (PPRF) will be held from 23 to 25 January beside the Papum (Boroi) river in Ramghat, in Papum Pare district.
