{"id":92570,"date":"2020-02-07T00:24:47","date_gmt":"2020-02-06T18:54:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=92570"},"modified":"2020-02-07T00:24:47","modified_gmt":"2020-02-06T18:54:47","slug":"dc-calls-for-equipping-health-facilities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2020\/02\/07\/dc-calls-for-equipping-health-facilities\/","title":{"rendered":"DC calls for equipping health facilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>SEPPA, Feb 6:<\/strong> East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Singh Rajawat has directed the district medical officer (DMO) to initiate early action for posting requisite specialists &#8211; particularly in ENT, surgery, radiology and ophthalmology &#8211; and other health staffers at various health facilities across the district.<br \/>\nThe DC issued the direction after learning about the status and requirement of health workers and doctors during a meeting of the District Health Development Committee here on Wednesday.<br \/>\nHe instructed that the operation theatre, the SNCU, the dental X-ray machine, the ultrasound equipment, and other units in the district hospital here be made operational at the earliest.<br \/>\nThe DC also called for early inauguration of the district hospital, and directed the ADC to assess and submit the report on the hospital&#8217;s compliance with the IPHS guidelines.<br \/>\nHe directed the medical superintendent (MS) to arrange for early repair of the solar panel system and for cleaning of the water tanks at the hospital, and sought the &#8220;functional status&#8221; of the hospital&#8217;s canteen.<br \/>\nThe DC also sought detailed reports on the construction of the blood bank and the morgue at the district hospital, as well as the district warehouse at the DMO office.<br \/>\nSuggesting that the feasibility of outsourcing sanitary workers be looked into, Rajawat directed the MS to monitor and report the performance of the sanitary workers (MTS).<br \/>\nHe asked the nodal officer for biomedical waste management to &#8220;install a proper system of waste management,&#8221; and to ensure that wastes are disposed of as per the BMW guidelines. He also suggested conducting &#8220;surprise inspections of all private clinics established in and across Seppa township.&#8221;<br \/>\nIn order to protect government land which falls under the health department from encroachment, the DC directed all MOs to submit the status of &#8220;the physical asset of their respective health facilities across the district for early issuance of official land documents.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe also sought monthly submission of HMIS (health indicator) report, and said that the availability of medicines under the MMRKK will be reviewed in the next meeting.<br \/>\nHe also reviewed the status of the dropouts under the JSY and the JSSK.
