{"id":97067,"date":"2020-03-21T01:37:37","date_gmt":"2020-03-20T20:07:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=97067"},"modified":"2020-03-21T01:37:37","modified_gmt":"2020-03-20T20:07:37","slug":"wwf-i-erects-solar-powered-fence-along-ccfs-in-chug-valley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2020\/03\/21\/wwf-i-erects-solar-powered-fence-along-ccfs-in-chug-valley\/","title":{"rendered":"WWF-I erects solar-powered fence along CCFs in Chug valley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>DIRANG, Mar 20:<\/strong> The World Wildlife Fund-India (WWF-I) has erected a 2-km-long solar-powered fence along the community conserved forests (CCF) in Chug valley in West Kameng district as part of its wildlife conservative efforts.<br \/>\nThe WWF-I also tilled nearly four acres of land, using a tractor, at Tsangpa village in Chug valley, under Dirang subdivision.<br \/>\n&#8220;It is a part of incentive programme to the villagers for conservation of wildlife in the area,&#8221; WWF-I Senior Project Officer, Pema Wange, said in a release.<br \/>\nHe said that it was for the first time that a tractor has been used to plough land for cultivation in Chug valley for growing various cash crops which would augment the villagers&#8217; income.<br \/>\n&#8220;It would also help reduce the villagers&#8217; dependence on forest resources and ensure preservation and conservation of the wildlife and other valuable resources,&#8221; Wange said.<br \/>\nThe West Kameng KVK and Dirang-based NRC on Yak are helping the WWF-India in this programme in all ways possible, he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DIRANG, Mar 20: The World Wildlife Fund-India (WWF-I) has erected a 2-km-long solar-powered fence along the community conserved forests (CCF) in Chug valley in West Kameng district as part of its wildlife conservative efforts.
