{"id":99569,"date":"2020-04-12T02:27:58","date_gmt":"2020-04-11T20:57:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=99569"},"modified":"2020-04-12T02:29:43","modified_gmt":"2020-04-11T20:59:43","slug":"masks-for-west-siang-campaign-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2020\/04\/12\/masks-for-west-siang-campaign-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Masks for West Siang&#8217; campaign launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Masks-for-West-Siang-campaign-launched.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-99585 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Masks-for-West-Siang-campaign-launched.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"280\" \/><\/a>AALO, Apr 11:<\/strong> &#8216;Masks for West Siang&#8217; campaign was launched here by Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan on Saturday.<br \/>\nInitiated by the district unit of the Arunachal Pradesh Doctors&#8217; Association (APDA), the campaign aims to provide masks to everyone in the district.<br \/>\nHighlighting the importance and the proper way of using masks, DSO, Dr Jombom Kato, urged the people to make a habit of wearing masks in public places.<br \/>\nDr Kato also stressed on routing homemade masks through the health department, so that sterilization of the masks can be ensured before use.<br \/>\nDMO, Dr Moli Riba, said wearing masks is essential, and that &#8220;doctors who are giving 100 percent effort despite lack of manpower and other facilities would be a little hesitant to treat patients without masks in an endemic situation.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe DC informed that an advisory on compulsory use of masks will soon be issued. She also called for creating awareness against random spitting.<br \/>\nATPWDS chairman Kento Ete, who also made a donation to the health department on the occasion, encouraged NGOs of the district to aid in the fight against Covid-19.<br \/>\nAPDA general secretary, Dr Olen Tatak, thanked the philanthropists involved in supporting the doctors through donations in the form of cash and homemade masks.<br \/>\nSeveral NGOs, SHGs and individuals have donated masks to the APDA for distribution.
