ITANAGAR, Nov 29: The All Arunachal Contractor’s Welfare Association (AACWA) has urged Parliamentary Secretary for Health, Phurpa Tsering to immediately clear the file related to procurement of life saving medicines for government hospitals for financial year 2016-17.
The Association alleged that the file is pending at his office since the last one month.
The ACCAWA claimed that due to delay in releasing of files from his office, the department is unable to issue or award supply order to the genuine contractors who won the tender.
“The contactors won the rights after participating in the e-tender process conducted by the Health Department. They also paid huge earnest money but the file is progressing at a snail’s pace for the last three months. This is affecting the supply of much-needed medicines to the government hospitals located in interiors parts of the state. The poor patients are suffering a lot due to it,” stated the ACCAWA.
