ITANAGAR, Jan 13: The Nyishi Elite Students of Arunachal Pradesh (NESA), in a press statement, demanded the BSNL and PWD (highway division) to expedite the on-going road cutting work to lay underground cable and pipeline at various parts of twin capital cities of Itanagar and Naharlagun.
The NESA stated that commuters are facing a lot of problem due to the damaged road, which has also created unprecedented traffic congestion in the Capital Complex during busy hours.
It further demanded repeal of the Arunachal Pradesh District Based Entrepreneurs and Professional (Incentives, Development and Promotional) Rules, 2015 with immediate effect.
The organisation claimed that many unregistered contractors, especially in rural areas, are being deprived of contract work following adoption of the Rule. It demanded re-introduction of the work order system.
