ITANAGAR, 21 Jul: Chief Minister Pema Khandu expressed grief over the demise of the state’s first generation civil servant Tagom Darang and offered condolence to the bereaved family members.
“I am deeply pained to learn about the sad demise of our first generation civil servant Tagom Darang. In his demise, the state has lost a veteran administrator, who contributed immensely towards the development of the state in various capacities,” Khandu said in his condolence message to Darang’s wife Omang Moyong, on Wednesday.
Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee president NabamTuki also expressed profound grief over Darang’s demise.
“I am deeply saddened to learn about the demise of Tagom Darang. He was a dedicated and efficient government officer and his contribution for the development of the state and welfare of the people will always be remembered,” Tuki said in his condolence message.
Pasighat’s East MLA Kaling Moyong and West MLA Ninong Ering have also expressed grief.
In their condolence messages, MLAs Moyong and Ering recalled late Darang as an honest and simple man, who was an epitome of integrity and dedication.
“His dedicated services in various capacities to the people of the state will not be forgotten. We offer our heartfelt condolences to his family and pray that they have all the courage to cope with this tragedy. May his soul rest in peace,” the MLAs added.
East Siang Deputy Commissioner Kinny Singh also expressed her grief, adding “I join the Arunachalees in paying homage to Darang Sahab. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family and friends.” (DIPRO)
