AALO, 16 Dec: The state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will install seven 3G towers in Shi-Yomi district.
The decision was taken during a meeting between Shi-Yomi DC Mito Dirchi and the BSNL officials at Mechukha on 14 December.
It was decided that optical fiber cable will be opted out and alternative connectivity through microwave/mini link will be relied upon for which seven 3G towers in the district will be installed.
The district administration has instructed the land management branch for acquisition of land free of cost for installation of the towers after the preliminary survey work concludes.
The nodal officer/SDE (CM), GMTD, BSNL Itanagar, SDO (T) Aalo and representative of Transvirtual Guwahati attended the meeting. (DIPRO)
