DIRANG, Feb 3: Over 51 villagers including homestay operators from Bomdila, Zemithang, Thembang and Dirang participated in a training programme on ‘Homestay hospitality and conservation tourism leadership’ here in West Kameng district on 2 and 3 February.
The programme was organized by the Tourism department with support from the Association for Conservation & Tourism and the World Pheasant Association of India. It included topics such as responsible tourism product development; homestay menu planning; resource mapping; social media and market linkages; hygiene and cleanliness; and behavior and food safety.
A similar programme had earlier been conducted at Rupa.
