PASIGHAT, 14 Nov: Pasighat East MLA Kaling Moyong on Monday inaugurated a three-day ‘free ENT surgery camp’, being organised by the state unit of the Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti (VKAJ-AP) at the Bakin Pertin General Hospital (BPGH) here.
A team of ENT surgeons and anaesthesiologist, comprising Dr Pradeep Kumar, Dr Shreyas Pradeep, Dr Sneha Shreyas, Dr Manjunath MK, and Dr Ramesh HC from MENTS, Bengaluru, are conducting the camp, which will benefit needy patients of East Siang and adjoining districts.
On Monday, 18 patients were prepared for free surgery.
Moyong thanked the ENT specialists for “bringing their esteemed services to the unprivileged in far-flung Pasighat,” and assured them of all possible help from his end during the camp.
He also commended BPGH JDHS Dr Talung Tali, MS Dr YR Darang, VKAJ-AP coordinator Dr Debashis Adhikari and others who coordinated in organising the camp.
The MLA urged the people to avail of the free service, and highlighted the healthcare initiatives taken up by the state government.
Dr Pradeep Kumar said that the doctors of MENTS are fully committed to serve the people through such free ENT surgery camps in the future too.
Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh president Tajom Tasung also spoke.
Among others, DMO Dr Radesh Tatan, BPGH ENT specialists, PMC Councillor K Kaling Doruk, mandal president Asar Padun, doctors and staffers of the BPGH were present on the occasion. (DIPRO)
