KHONSA, 2 Aug: In view of the increasing traffic congestion, Tirap district magistrate through an order on 31 July declared the road from UD-IB tri-junction to Kendriya Vidyalaya junction here one-way.
In this connection, an awareness programme was organized on Wednesday by the district administration in association with Tirap police to ensure proper implementation of the one way traffic.
Town magistrate Ripi Doni urged traffic police in-charge ASI Wangkham Sumpa to deploy traffic police at UD-IB trio-junction and Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) point from 9 am to 5 pm. The town magistrate called for strict implementation of the traffic rules.
Khonsa PS OC Insp M Tangjang sought public cooperation and urged all to follow traffic rules.
The traffic verification-cum-spot awareness programme was conducted by DSP Togum Gongo, Lazu CO DK Thungdok, Borduria CO Lim Modi and others. (DIPRO)
