ITANAGAR, Mar 17: Committee on Minimum Support Price (MSP) for various agro-horticulture crops in the state, called for an alternative to MSP in the state, especially for perishable horticulture crops, such as transport subsidies and price GAP support to the farmers.
The point came up during a meeting to discuss realistic and practical issues on implementation of MSP in the state recently.
Another meeting will be held soon to recommend the views of the committee. Secretary (Agri), Secretary (Horti), Director (Agri), Director (Horti), CEO APAMB and a host of officials from both the Agriculture and Horticulture departments attended the meeting.
