Editor,
It is truly sad that the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB), even after conducting exams for five years, cannot upgrade the level of questions. This year’s combined graduate-level (CGL) examination question paper was way below standard for a graduate-level exam.
Barring the GK questions, even 9th or 10th grade students could have solved the questions in maths, reasoning, and English papers without much difficulty.
It was as if the exam’s results will only be decided based on GK. Everyone knows that it is almost impossible to know what will be asked in this subject; it was like picking the right lottery ticket to crack the exam.
The APSSB needs to upgrade the level of questions asked, especially in maths and reasoning. Please check the standard of questions asked in other graduate-level exams like SSC CGL, IBPS and other state exams.
The questions this year were easier than a 10th standard exam questions. Set a benchmark difficulty for each exam according to the level of education qualification required. The question paper standard for each exam conducted by this board is too arbitrary.
If I could, I would file an FIR and demand the reconduct of this exam.
Disappointed candidate
