Republish APPSC TGT exam date promptly

Editor,

I am writing to express my frustration with the recent postponement of the trained graduate teacher (TGT) examination by Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission due to a scheduling conflict with the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) exam.

This decision raises serious questions about the accountability and planning processes of our public service commission, as well as the apparent lack of coordination between the APPSC and the APSSB. Notably, the APPSC released its exam calendar on 5 August, while the APSSB announced its tentative exam on 8 August, suggesting that the APSSB could have adjusted its schedule.

The APPSC’s decision to postpone TGT exam without announcing a new date has caused frustration among the candidates, many of whom have already waited over two years for this exam. Some candidates have surpassed the upper age limit, and many have rearranged personal and professional commitment, only to be met with yet another delay.

Therefore, I urge the commission to promptly republish the exam date for TGT exams without any further delay and take measures to improve coordination in scheduling future exams to prevent similar conflict. Such steps would not only restore candidates’ confidence in the examination process but also demonstrate respect for the time and effort we invest.
