Editor,
Through your esteemed daily, I want to bring attention to the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission’s decision to give grace marks in the CSAT.
Even if the questions were wrong, 13 marks is huge. The CSAT is qualifying in nature; it’s an aptitude and mental awareness test. So the candidates should know which questions to skip and which to attempt.
Just because the questions were wrong, giving grace mark of 13 is not justified.
Everybody got the same time. Everybody got the same six questions wrong. So all were in equal competition. I worked very hard in maths, English and reasoning, minimising my time for general studies, and some candidates claiming grace marks is grave injustice. If the questions were wrong in general studies, then it could have been considered right.
