Editor,
Through your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the attention of theĀ chairman and the secretary of the APPSC to the fact that for the past few months, the aspirants have been calling for extension of the AE mains examination date by at least another month. But the APPSC has turned a deaf ear to the appeals.
We have been asking for at least 2 months’ (60 days) preparation time for the mains exam. The APPSC’s stipulated time is only approximately 35 days.
This has resulted in deteriorating mental and physical health of many aspirants, and coaching institutes are pushing 15 hours of continuous classes, which is beyond an individual’s capacity to keep up with. The pressure on the aspirants is beyond imagination.
The ball is in the APPSC’s court. I urge the commission to take a decision in the greater interest of both academic excellence and mental and physical wellbeing of the aspirants.
Father of an aspirant,
