Editor,
I’m writing to highlight a discrepancy in the recruitment process for assistant professors in Arunachal Pradesh. The Arunachal Pradesh University conducts its own recruitment process, focusing on a comprehensive evaluation of candidates, rather than solely relying on graduation and postgraduation marks.
However, the APPSC has adopted a different approach, using a 1:3 ratio based on these marks. This raises questions about the fairness and consistency of the recruitment process.
If the university, which is a premier institution in the state, doesn’t rely solely on marks, why is the APPSC doing so?
I request the authorities to review this policy and consider a more holistic approach, like the university, to ensure fair and merit-based recruitment.
