DAPORIJO, Aug 24: The boys’ and girls’ teams from the government higher secondary school (GHSS) here will represent Upper Subansiri district at the state Subroto Cup football tournament.
The boys’ team of the school beat GSS Lida 6-0 in the final of the district level tournament on 23 August.
In the girls’ section, there was only one team, and the lone participant, GHSS Daporijo, was declared champion.
The certificates and shields for the winners and runner-up teams were given away on the same day by GSS Sikarijo Headmaster Nabal Dobin.
The tournament was coordinated by APO Taw Dulom.
