LONGLUNG, Aug 28: Thirty people including farmers and members of SHGs attended a ‘digital financial literacy and awareness camp’ organized by the Changlang district branch of the Apex Bank at Longlung village on Tuesday.
During the camp, which was supported by the Itanagar regional office of the NABARD, Apex Bank Branch Manager Jayanta Dutta enumerated the types of accounts that can be maintained in a bank. He informed the participants about the schemes that bank account holders can avail of, and highlighted social security schemes such as PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, and APY.
NABARD District Development Manager Kamal Roy informed about financial inclusion and financial planning, flagship schemes of both the state and the central governments, and the procedure for availing benefits under the schemes.
