Tezu, Jan 15: Papum Pare will take on Capital Complex in the final of the girls’ football tournament for the state level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy (HDMT) here on 16 January.
Papum Pare defeated Lower Subansiri 2-0 and Capital Complex trounced Upper Siang 5-0 in semifinal matches played on Tuesday.
In the boys’ football, Upper Subansiri defeated Dibang Valley 3-2 in the first semifinal, while West Siang beat East Siang 3-0 in the second semifinal. Upper Subansiri will face West Siang in the boys’ football final.
In the girls’ volleyball quarterfinals, Kamle defeated Lower Siang, Capital Complex trounced West Siang, Papum Pare beat Upper Subansiri, and Kurung Kumey drubbed Lower Subansiri.
The boys’ and girls’ volleyball semifinal matches will be played on 16 January.
