TEZU, Jan 15: The 10-member team of army personnel who had gone on a bicycle expedition organised by the Indian Army’s Dao division returned here in Lohit district on Tuesday after covering 452 kms on rugged, mountainous terrain.
During the expedition, the team interacted with the locals in Tezu, Salangam, Hayuliang, Changwinti, Walong and Kibithu, and motivated them to join the armed forces. They also encouraged girls to join the armed forces and informed them of the various entry schemes available in the armed forces.
The team also visited the war memorial in Walong and paid homage to the martyrs.
