Dept of IPR gets deserving attention through ARC

Dear Editor,
I wish to share my happiness with DIPROs of all the district wherever the most anticipated Arunachal Rising Campaign (ARC) has been conducted successfully.
The ARC being organized by department of IPR under the aegis of the government of Arunachal Pradesh is running successfully across the state wherein CM Pema Khandu is also visiting every district headquarter.
True to its noble intention, hundreds of dedicated staffs-DIPROs, communicators, Gram Prerak, Anganwadi workers and ASHAs are being put to tasks to disseminate the Government’s flagship programs and schemes, through placards and pamphlets. By and large this Campaign has turn into a public movement involving entire people of the state for the good cause.
The IPR department over the last many years has been the most neglected department in Arunachal. People hardly have heard about it let alone know of its power, function and value. Perhaps that could be the reason many districts are still without regular DIPROs. The Dept functions only in files in most of the district with few unknown faces like PA operators who basically has to handle the arrangement of sound system during Republic day and independent day (only.)
Interestingly, many govt came and went but the conditions remained all the same. Even the Ministers and MLAs if given the charge of IPR were considered as the most unfortunate as overheard during their political discussion. ‘A department without fund’ and so on. In short IPR Dept was the most neglected child ever since it’s inception.
So the officers and officials were so casual in their approach towards the job with hanging shoulders and depressed faces as if they have entered into a wrong profession, which I think could be another reason why the idea for deployment of sufficient staffs never came across the mind of our state government!
But then, the otherwise dormant department suddenly got a breath of fresh air. The department became talk of the town, through the Arunachal Rising Campaign. The DIPROs and DIPRO-incharges got the sudden and much needed moral boost. Government for the first time ever felt the need for additional staffs in the IPR dept to give hand in carrying out such a mega event as ARC ! But the DIPROs with limited employees under their disposal are doing their best and deserve accolades from all corners. I am happy that this department has got the special recognition that it rightly deserves through this super-duper hit ARC program.
The Dept must be indebted deeply to the Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Minister IPR Bamang Felix, Sonam Chaubey ji Secretary IPR, and Himanshu Guptaji, Special Secretary IPR and former DC of Longding, who is an honest and workaholic officer , for resurrecting the department with new vigour.
I can say that this department is now in the safe hand. Under their able guidance and leadership, we will surely achieve newer height in a days to come.
I also congratulate the entire teams of DIPROs and their staffs for the successful conduct of ARC. An exclusive program I must say which not only disseminated the government’s flagship programs and schemes, but kind of introduced our IPR department to the masses.
Sincerely,
Abo Monwangham
