Orgs announce Kamle shutdown, boycott on R-Day

ITANAGAR, Jan 23: Protesting against the state government for allegedly excluding Kamle district from considering it as a recruitment centre for the ongoing district-wise recruitment of constables (male/female)- civil and IRBN -against the district wise vacancy, the All Kamle District Students’ Union (AKDSU) announced a 24-hour bandh in the district on 26 January (Republic Day).
The AKDSU has been demanding for a recruitment centre at Raga for the district-wise vacancy.
Meanwhile, Trans-Arunachal Highway and Land Affected People’s Forum Kamle District, in collaboration with the Arunachal Pradesh Anti-Corruption Sena (Kamle district unit) has also threatened to boycott Republic Day to agitate against the authority for failing to address their demand.
The forum has been demanding immediate publication of re-notification, and claimed that the actual length of road from Potin to Bopi is 157km.
It claimed that the fact finding committee has assured to start re-verification process from the first week of January 2019, but the re-verification is yet to begin.
