KHAMIR, Feb 14: A team from Doimukh-based 12th Bn National Disaster Response Force led by Inspector Mintu Sonowal conducted a ‘school safety programme on disaster management’ at Zion English School here in Papum Pare district on Thursday.
The team demonstrated drills on first aid techniques, emergency/non-emergency moves of victims, making of improvised stretchers, etc, during earthquakes and landslides, besides enumerating safety precautions during a fire and after snakebite.
Altogether 167 persons, including students and local residents, attended the programme.
