YUPIA, Feb 18: Yupia ADC Tabang Bodung emphasized on conducting house-to-house survey and headcount to ensure better immunization coverage during the first round of the National Deworming Day (NDD).
Chairing a meeting of the district task force on immunization, the ADC urged all the medical officers in-charge to prepare micro-plans for routine immunization.
Training on routine immunization will be conducted by the Papum Pare District Health Society on 19 and 21 February, Bodung informed, and assured the district administration’s assistance to the medical officers and health workers in conducting the immunization drive.
SMO (WHO) Dr Amitabha Sarkar highlighted the status and achievement under routine immunization, as well as the strategies to overcome the problems in conducting routine immunization.
DRCHO Dr Worar Taku asked the MOs in-charge to submit their corrected micro-plans before 10 March and engage staffs for headcount in their respective areas.
Dr Taku also briefed about the status of RI micro-planning and the first round of the NDD. (DIPRO)
