LUNGLA, Feb 28: The 67th battalion of the Sashashtra Seema Bal (SSB) is conducting a three-day civic action programme which began here in Tawang district on Thursday.
The programme, which was inaugurated by the commander of the Tawang military station, Brig Zubin Bhatnagar, is likely to benefit more than 500 people of Lungla and neighbouring villages.
The programme consists of medical and veterinary assistance by a team of doctors from the SSB, distribution of solar lights, and providing teaching aids to the government schools here.
Addressing the gathering, Brig Bhatnagar highlighted the importance of strong civil-military relations in nation-building.
He complimented the Indian Army, the SSB and the local population for the synergy that exists among them. (DIPRO)
