ITANAGAR, Mar 4: The All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) has urged the authorities concerned to take immediate steps to repair the collapsed portion of the road near the Hoj market in Papum Pare district.
In a press release, the ANYA on Monday said a huge chunk of the road near the Hoj market caved in last summer and is now posing great danger to the motorists during nighttime.
Stating that the road is at risk of total collapse as it has remained unattended by the authorities concerned, the association demanded that the Papum Pare deputy commissioner direct the construction company responsible for maintenance of the road to repair it before the monsoon arrives.
The road serves as a lifeline for the people of East Kameng, Kra Daadi, Kurung Kumey, Lower Subansiri, Kamle and Upper Subansiri districts.
