ANINI, Aug 12: The disaster management department here in Dibang Valley district on Monday conducted an awareness programme on disaster management preparedness.
The programme, which was attended by DDMO (in-charge) Rosalind Pertin, CDPO Dilip Linggi, Athupopu Social Foundation general secretary Enam Pralo, anganwadi workers, helpers and supervisors, and staff of the women & child development department, was aimed at creating awareness on being prepared for natural and manmade disasters like earthquakes, fire accidents, floods, and landslides.
Pertin asked the women participants to disseminate the knowledge they gained during the programme, and urged the participants to be cautious while travelling on the landslide- and mudslide-prone Anini-Roing road during rainy days. (DIPRO)
