ITANAGAR, Sep 9: Arunachal Pradesh ranked 2nd after Rajasthan in all India level and grabbed eight SKOCH Award-of-Merit for its digital projects during the 49th SKOCH Summit held in New Delhi on September 8 and 9.
The SKOCH Award winning projects include e-Inner Line Permit System, Employment Bank Portal for Dept of Labour & Employment, CM’s Help Line-155250, Centralised Information Management System for Employees and Pensioners, Dept of Audit and Pension, e-Office at Civil Secretariat, Civil Secretariat WiFi LAN, Arunachal m-Seva and e-Cabinet Arunachal Pradesh. The Employment Bank Portal has bagged the Silver SKOCH Award under e-Governance category.
A team of IT and Communication Department, GoAP, headed by IT & C Director, Neelam Yapin Tana, along with Assistant Director, Yater Pari and Technical Assistant, Techi Tado received the award from Senior Fellow, SKOCH Development Foundation, Nirmal Bansal.
The achievement will prove to be a great source of encouragement to move towards digital Arunachal, a release said.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pema Khandu, IT & Communication Special Secretary, Prince Dhawan have congratulated the team of officials and IT Department for the achievement.
The CM also congratulated the citizens for their relentless support for the IT oriented policy of the government and exhorted them to avail the IT services.
The achievement of the team is very encouraging. The state is marching forward with many IT initiatives, said Dhawan.
During the Civil Service Day 2017, the Dept of IT & Communication was declared the best department for team work. The IT Department had also received the Indian Express Award 2017 for e-ILP project.
