ITANAGAR, Sep 4: A day-long community engagement and awareness programme on National Entrepreneurship Award-2017 was jointly conducted by the Centre for Youth Development and Leadership Studies, Rajiv Gandhi University and Tata Institute of Social Science and XLRI, Jamshedpur under the chairmanship of state Khadi and Village Industries Board CEO, Dr Sukmal Deb here on Monday.
Addressing the participants, Professor Vishwa Ballabh from XLRI informed that the National Entrepreneurship Awards have been instituted by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MoSDE) to encourage a culture of entrepreneurship across the country. These premier awards seek to recognize and honour entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship ecosystem builders for their outstanding efforts.
He further informed that there are 17 awards for young entrepreneurs below the age of 30 years, six recognition awards for entrepreneurship ecosystem builders, Rs 10 lakh, trophy and certificates for winning organizations, Rs 5 lakh, trophy and certificates for individual/enterprise winners.
The programme was attended by representatives of Oju Welfare Association, GPTI, Childline Itanagar, Entrepreneurs, RGU faculty members, bankers, investors, micro-financers, social workers and students.
