ITANAGAR, Sep 4: In a memorandum submitted to the state Chief Secretary, the Siang District Student’s Union (SDSU) alleged the Siang Deputy Commissioner of committing several irregularities in the recruitment process with regards to recently held examination for the posts of LDC, UDC and MTS in Siang district.
Seeking posting of other efficient officers in place of the incumbent DC for conducting the remaining part of recruitment process, the Union stated that the Siang DC vide advertisement No. SD/EST/ADV/2017-18 dated 24/07/2017 called the qualified candidates of Siang for appearing in the interview for the post of UDC, LDC and MTS.
‘The advertisement was modified through a corrigendum issued by the DC wherein it was informed that the computer application test will be done a day after the declaration of results which received severe criticism’, the Union claimed and urged the Chief Secretary to constitute a high-level enquiry committee against the DC.
It further threatened to resort to democratic action in case its demands are not met with at the earliest.
