ITANAGAR, Sep 20: In a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister, the All Arunachal Pradesh Non-Registration Contractors’ Association (AAPNRCA) on Wednesday appealed to him to reintroduce work order system in the state as was done during the period of the CPWD.
The AAPNRCA reasoned that the present tender system tends to deny equal opportunity to non-registered contractors and unemployed youths of the state.
The Association further appealed to the state government to revoke tender system, especially schemes and packages under state plan up to the limit of Rs 5 crore and demanded repeal of the Arunachal Pradesh District Based Entrepreneurs and Professionals (Incentives, Development and Promotional) Rules, 2015 with immediate effect.
It further threatened to resort to democratic action in case its demands were not fulfilled within 30 days from the date of submission of the memorandum.
