ITANAGAR, Sep 22: In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister on Friday, the All Arunachal Pradesh Anti Corruption Students’ Union (AAPACSU) has sought immediate cancellation of Patanjali Garden development activities at Seijosa.
The union has claimed that the entire area being developed by the Patanjali Ayurved Limited falls under reserve forest area and it has acquired the land by violating the laid down norms.
‘It has been learnt from DFO Bhalukpong, Khellong Division that no land possession certificate has been issued to any individual within Seijosa area as the whole area falls under reserve forest,’ claimed the union and sought the Chief Minister’s early intervention into the issue.
Meanwhile, the People Forum of 12th Pakke-Kessang Assembly Constituency has welcomed the Patanjali Ayurved Ltd.’s move to establish a Mega Herbal Garden in Seijosa saying that it will create job opportunities and tourism avenues in the area.
In a representation to the state Chief Secretary on Friday, the Forum further condemned those organizations which are against the said project and alleged them of being anti-development.
It further informed that on May 8, 2017 a general meeting was conducted at Seijosa which was attended by PRI leaders, Gaon Burahs, students and general public wherein they all extended their support for the establishment of a mega herbal garden by Patanjali Ayurved Ltd.
