Fair recruitment process

Dear Editor,
Through your esteemed daily, I would like to express my resentment over the postponement of viva-voce which was to be conducted on 22nd and 23rd of this month for recruitment to UDC, LDC and MTS under Siang district.
I was one of the candidates who appeared in the written and CAT exam for UDC but could not go through CAT even after doing very well in both tests but I do not blame any of the authorities for my failure as I feel that the selected ones must have done better than me. I am quite satisfied with the recruitment process, the way the written and CAT examination was conducted do not leave any space for doubt for corruption.
Though I couldn’t qualify for the viva-voce, I am fully satisfied with the result as I know most of the candidates selected for Viva Voce and as far as I know they are very talented and deserving ones. We know very well that the process of job recruitment in our state is very slow because of which aspiring candidates are not satisfied with the government authorities whether it is departmentally conducted or through APPSC. Delay in conduct of job recruitments lead to the increasing unemployment problem in the state.
As per as the recruitment process of Siang district is concerned, the date of written exam, CAT and Viva Voce was fixed in the advertisement itself and the recruitment process was going on as per given time period. However, no question of partiality and unfair means arise in the recruitment process.
Therefore, it is not fair to raise question against the recruitment process rather it is putting unnecessary obstacle to the deserving candidates.
The office order for postponement of Viva Voce of UDC and LDC was quite shocking.
If any body has found wrong in the recruitment process, they should substantiate it with evidence so that authorities are punished.
Otherwise such an act of disturbing the future of our brothers and sisters is not appreciable.
Yours,
Tami Pangu,
