Kashmir bleeding

The Kashmir valley was once again rocked by terrorist attack on Tuesday early morning. What is one of Kashmir’s most sanitized and protected areas saw a massive security breach when three fidayeen militants from an affiliate group of the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) stormed the camp of the Border Security Force (BSF) near the Srinagar airport, and opened fire. One BSF soldier was killed and three of the militants neutralized by security forces. These kinds of terrorist attacks are increasing in Jammu and Kashmir with each passing days.
According to Home Ministry report almost one terrorist incident occurred on an average every day in the state this year till July 23, indicating no sign of let-up in Pakistan-led activities in the valley. In fact, there was an almost 25 per cent rise in incidents in the nearly seven months of this year, compared with the corresponding period last year. Pakistan-based terror group’s recruitment is reported to have peaked in the last one year. The Government of India often makes bombastic claim stating that surgical strike has weaken the terror infrastructure in Pakistan. But continues surge in terror related incident in troubled J&K completely negates the claim of the Government of India. Pakistan is continuing to extend support to the terror groups and has not given up its policy of bleeding India. There is need to change the tactics to deal with Pakistan. Also the internal security mechanism should be further improved and made robust so that no outsider can launch terror attack inside country’s territory.
