ITANAGAR, Oct 21: Around 500 contestants from all over the state took part in the Arunachal’s Got Talent -3 on Saturday at Dera Natung Government College, of which 120 have been selected for the first elimination round, which will begin in November.
Judges for the event were actor Tai Tugung, Rapper Karken Riba and finalist of India’s Got Talent, drummer Toko Teji.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, while attending the end of the mega auditions said that self-belief is a sure shot to success. Stressing the importance of hard work, Mein said that there are no shortcuts to success and one has to work hard consistently to achieve the goal.
Laying emphasis on the importance of education, the DCM said that of-late the education scenario in state has degraded badly and the state government is taking every step to find solutions to improve it.
Exhorting the students not to be cowed down by the adverse circumstances in life, entrepreneur Ha Tatu said that the real champion is the one who fights adversity and emerges a winner.
He called upon the people of the state to come forward to support events which truly help develop the creative and innovative minds of the young people.
Mentor of AGT, Gumjum Haider has informed that the main idea in organizing the event was to identify local talents and to provide them the right platform to bring out the hidden talents of the state at the regional, national and international levels.
He also requested the state government to make Arunachal’s Got Talent a calendar event.
