RUKSIN, Nov 24: A team of PRI members from Ruksin block in East Siang district, who are on a 10-day exposure tour to Sikkim has reached Gangtok here on Wednesday last. They met municipal officials, visited various organic farms and learnt about scientific management of solid waste and its recycling.
ZPM Panyang, who is leading the team of PRIs informed that the objective of the tour is to gain knowledge about development of adventure tourism and organic farming for economic enhancement. ‘The tour is not sponsored by any government agencies’, he added.
The team will also be touring Darjeeling and Meghalaya.
