A tribute to Tako Dabi

Dear Editor,
“It has been an honor to know late Tako Dabi for 30 years and be able to call him a friend & a brother. His passing is a tremendous loss to his family, friends, to the entire Galo Community, his political party and above all to the people of Arunachal Pradesh but he will live in our hearts. We will fondly be reminded his dedicated service to the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
Steve Job said, “No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new.”
“The truth is, once you learn how to die, you learn how to live.” Mitch Albom.
My friend you lived your life like a candle in the wind, never fading with the sunset. And when the rain set in and your footsteps will always fall here along Nari-Kayu greenest hills. Your candles burned out long before your legend ever will. You were the icon of Nari-Kayu.
Goodbye my friend, may you ever grow in our hearts. Now you belong to heaven and stars spell out your name. You did it your way. ”
Yours,
L Wanglat,
Former Home & Finance Minister
Arunachal Pradesh
