KOVALUM (Kerala), Feb 6: The Arunachal Pradesh branch of the Indian Medical Association (IMA-AP) received a national award for ‘outstanding performance among small states’ in the recently concluded two-day national conference of IMA state leaders which concluded here on 4 February.
The award was given in recognition of the humanitarian services rendered by the IMA-AP by providing aid to victims of fire accidents and landslides, conducting outreach camps in different parts of the state, and regularly conducting continuing medical education (CME) and other welfare measures for the doctors of the state.
The IMA-AP also participated in various national programmes and blood donation camps, and in plantation programmes in different part of the state.
IMA-AP honorary secretary Dr Jego Ori received the award on behalf of the IMA-AP.
