Damaged road harassing commuters

PALIN, Feb 13: Around a 100-metre stretch of the Palin-Koloriang road in Choba village remains inundated after the massive landslides that occurred there during the last monsoon.
The deplorable condition of the road stretch and its subsequent sinking is not only causing untold miseries to commuters but is also posing great danger to them.
The Kra Daadi district administration has directed to the Old Palin-based 85 RCC GREF to start the road restoration work immediately and work round the clock to make it through.
The administration expressed apprehension that many settlements in Kra Daadi and Kurung Kumey districts would be cut off from the rest of the state if the restoration work is not done before the coming monsoon. (DIPRO)
