DC asks departments to shift utilities for 4-lane construction

ITANAGAR, Feb 19: Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan has directed the power and the PHE departments and the state-run BSNL to immediately shift their power, water supply and telecommunication utilities to facilitate early completion of the four-lane highway work from Chandranagar to Papunallah.
Addressing the officials of the departments and the BSNL in a meeting here on 19 February, Dhawan informed that the state government has asked construction company TK Engineering Consortium to complete the work from Chandranagar to Papunallah (Package-A) before 31 March, 2019.
He directed the departments to be serious about shifting their utilities to enable the road construction company to meet the set target.
During the meeting, it was decided that the dateline for shifting the utilities would be fixed shortly.
The DC urged the departments to work in coordination with each other, so that work on the four-lane project may be completed within the timeframe. He also appealed to the residents of the capital complex to cooperate with the district administration.
A team comprising the Itanagar EAC, the LM EAC, officials from the BSNL and the highway, power and PHE departments, and representatives of TK Engineering Consortium on 13 and 14 February jointly identified places where utility shifting has not been carried out yet, informed EAC (LM) Liken Koyu.
